How it helps

Counselling and psychotherapy help you get insight into what bothers you, and the resultant distressing feelings and emotions. It gives you a better understanding of what causes your distress, assists in finding better ways to cope, and helps develop positive changes in your life.
What happens in a session?
In a counselling or psychotherapy session you will explore feelings, emotions, beliefs, and thoughts. You may explore life events, both from childhood and more recently, in a structured way with somebody who is trained to help you do it safely.
Who is it for?

Everyone can benefit from therapy. Over your life time you will have built up patterns of relating to others according to the life experiences you have accumulated, and these can sometimes become troublesome.
